The Study Of Viola Vibrato

Viola is considered to be the oldest member of the violin family.From the early Viola Da Braccio,Viola Da Gamba,Viola d 'amore,the Viola was the main string instrument appeared on the stage.Of course,those were considered to be “ancient” model,and also an important transition instrument from the Viol family to the modern violin family.The principal instrument of Brandenburg concerto No.6(J.S.Bach)were Viola Da braccio and Viola D amore,and it is often played with modern viola nowadays.Though in the later period,with the rise of Violin and Violoncello and the changing style of music writing,Viola was not treated properly.But its unique audio effect with melody singing has gradually gained people's favor.As the higher demand for the viola's music expression,more performance techniques and training methods have been fully studied and explored.This paper attempts from the string vibrato in the perspective of the viola playing,to study this very important playing skills.First,from the historical evolution to understanding the meaning of string vibrato and the attitude the musicians use the vibrato from generations to generations.Secondly,to show the difference in Viola vibrato under the affection of different size,weight,sounding particularities.Third,from the angle of human anatomy,to analyze the mechanism of muscles and bones' working process on the vibrato,and how they affect vibrato frequency,amplitude,intensity,and adjustment of performance stat and relaxing.Thus,to guide the practice of vibrato from a more rational way.Finally,to discuss the proper use of vibrato with the works of different periods of viola,meet the needs of various art expression.
