Textual Research On The Origin And Development Of The Sun God And Moon God In Kucha Caves

Kucha Caves is located in the we.,sternmost part of the China.The"Heaven Picture" is a unique fresco theme of the central pillar cave murals.It appeared around the third century AD and continued until the decline of the Kucha Caves.It symbolizes the world of Buddha’s universe by depicting the gods of the Buddhist world,such as the sun god,the moon god,wind deity and garuda.I found that the images of the gods of sun and moon in the Kucha region are quite different from those in the mainland of China.They are the product of multicultural and multi-image fusion,The influence comes from ancient Central Asia,South Asia,West Asia,Greece and Rome,which are vast regions for the chltural exchange of East and Weat.The sun god and the moon god are drawn in pairs on both ends of the map of the heavens.As the companion of the god of the sun,the moon god synchronizes with the god of the sun in clothing,styling and so on.They all sit in the chariots with their chaotic knight suits.Most of the time,their right arms are lifted with palm towards the sky,and their left hands rest on the waists.Although the intention is to represent the carriage,it weakens the chariots itself,only depicts the shape of the wheel or the horse.This is very special in the sun god pedigree.To trace the origin of the images of the Kizil Caves the sun and the moon god,This article will analyze the impact of different civilizations on it,including Surya of Brahmanism in ancient India,Apollo in Greek mythology,Mithra in Zoroastrianism in ancient Persia,many legends about the sun and the moon in the East and so on.
