Spanish artist joaquin Sonora is one of the most distinguished painter in the early 20th century,The evolution of his painting style also reflects the change of mainstream aesthetics,His paintings in different periods were influenced by the trend of painting.The study of his paintings shows that he is good at drawing people in the sun with brilliant colors,rich in layers.It has the characteristics of impressionist painting,and at the same time it can shows the visual effects of the body and color unified in the picture.While pursuing the expression of light,it can also faithfully reflect the form of the object on the picture.He has attained perfection in technique and color of his drawing.In comparison with China's watercolor painting,many times painters often ignore the pursuit of color and shape in the picture in order to express the effect,and there are problems such as "moist but less color","noly shape but colorless" and so on.Watercolor is a form of painting originated from the West.The development of China has absorbed the aesthetic orientation of Chinese painting,but still can not lose the color.This article analyses the process of the evolution of Joaquin Sorolla' s paintings,analyzes his color language,focuses on the study of Sorolla' s colorful paintings,And comparing the winning paintings of China's national art exhibition,and extracts Sorolla' s painting skills which is worth to Chinese artist learn from.Through this comparative analysis,the problem of color language which needs to be solved in the study of Chinese watercolor painting is put forward.This problem will be solved,which will be beneficial to the healthy development of Chinese watercolor painting.
