Sorolla's Artistic Style Has Influenced My Work

At the end of the 19 th century,western traditional classicism and modernism emerged one after another.In the change of tradition and fashion,there are some painters who inherit the tradition and absorb the performance characteristics of the Impressionism in the pursuit of light and color.Joaquin Sorolla(1863-1923),from Valencia,Spain,is good at using vivid and fluent strokes to express the local natural scenery and customs.His works are bright in color,vivid in brushwork and full of vitality.The author studied the artistic experience and the development of artistic style of Sonora,so as to get a more comprehensive and deeper understanding of the painting art of Sonora,and draw its essence for reference in my graduation thesis.This paper mainly expounds the social background of the formation of solora's painting style,in order to study the reasons for the formation of solora's painting style,and then describes the characteristics of solora's painting art: from the early traditional realism style to the mid-term use of Impressionism for reference,as well as the formation and characteristics of the late modernism style.Finally,it discusses the influence of solora's painting style on my oil painting creation.Mainly from the choice of subject matter,the performance of the picture and the meaning of the work.
