The idea of the" the middle way and the dependent origination" is the core idea of Buddhism.Ji Zang, who lives in the Sui and Tang Dynasties of China, has formed the Chinese Buddhism's understanding of the true meaning of the Middle Way by constructing four aspects of the Twofold Truth and laid the theoretical foundation for the Three Tribes of China. This article mainly focuses on Ji Zang's exposition of Twofold Truth, and assists with the other works of Ji Zang,to try to sort out the theoretical framework of Ji Zang's thoughts about the Middle Way.Ji Zang's idea was based on the theory of the Nagarjuna's Middle View, and he believed that the truth of the Middle Way is indescribable. Therefore,he focuses on"breaking the evil point" to "reveal the truth" and specified the Middle Way through layers of negation.Ji Zang took the Twofold Truth to sweep and criticize the incorrect points of others,as well as the previous theories of his sect, and finally constructed his own unique four aspects of the Twofold Truth. It shows the true meaning of the Middle Way:"away from four sentences, away from the hundred".The truth of the Middle Way stated by Ji Zang is not only the result of the critical process of the Twofold Truth, but also the ideology of Twofold Truth itself contains the thought of the Middle Way.Ji Zang summed up his idea of the Middle Way in the thinking of Hua Yan sect, revealing the deep meaning of the Dependent Origination that does not fall on both sides, and being perfect penetration without obstruction, which becomes the thought of peak in Three Tribes and the Chinese Buddhist history.
