| Idyll is one of the earliest traditional poetic styles which its development has run through all the processes of Chinese classical poetry.During late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty,this period witnessed the whole poetic circle covering with sadness and depression.The style of idyll,in the melody of leisureliness and indifference,also changed a lot.It was not until in the Kangxi Dynasty had the sad melody in poems and articles of former dynasty’s adherents been gradually replaced by romantic charm.The atmosphere of Chinese new poetry was slowly progressing.As growing up in this background,Zhang Ying also began to return his idyll style to aesthetic taste.In his poems,pastorale bears his rural thoughts and rural dreams which reflected his life experiences and inspiration,also his inner temperament of present mind in the face of rises and falls.His poems reflected the secret changes of poetic circles of Qing Dynasty,as well as the ambivalence of first generation of ethnic Han,in the person of Zhang Ying who grew up in the Qing Dynasty.Firstly,the introduction demarcates the definition of Zhang Ying’s selected idylls.Then it briefly summarizes present situation and significance of Zhang Ying’s idylls taste research techniques and thoughts in this paper.The first chapter analyzes Zhang Ying’s idylls from the aspects of cultural perspective to grasp whole aesthetic connotation.Firstly,regarding idylls as his soul place to bear his thoughts,he annotated his retiring mind of returning to pastorale,clearly reappeared his evolution of indifferent attitude and insistence to pastorale which showed pastoral conversion of that generation.Secondly,he combined his thoughts to his native place with pastoral theme which demonstrated his nostalgic sentiments.It enriched emotional connotation and cultural implication of idylls,expressed his free and leisure value appeals as well as passionate call to human affection.Thirdly,he contained aesthetic pursuit of Chinese traditional conception of nature “The unity of man and nature ”in his idylls which made him “be self,followhis heart,and liberate his thoughts”.This gentled his incompatible indifferent attitude and profound nostalgic sentiments in this realm.Based on the background of period development and poems development of Tongcheng,the second chapter explores aesthetic performance and reasons of Zhang Ying’s idylls.As the social mores-“Qing” and “Ya” was highly respected,Zhang Ying combined his own spirits with background to his idylls in an elegant and subtle form and return by sententious sentences,secluded scenes and delight of life.It is not only Zhang Ying’s aesthetic performance,but also is the combination of philosophy,temper and poetry art.His idylls reflected the secret changes of poetic circles of Qing Dynasty.With a profound development,idylls have sedimentary deposits both in contents and artistic performance.The cultural connotation and aesthetic performance of Zhang Ying’s idylls are benefited from predecessors’ artistic experience,especially Tao Yuanming.Shen Deqian selected Zhang Ying’s idylls to The Selected Poems of Qing Dynasty.Hence,the third chapter discusses the heritage and development of Zhang Ying’s idylls to Tao Yuanming’s.The ending analyzes the influences of Zhang Ying’s idylls.Except inheriting predecessors’ artistic experiences,he expanded idylls performance horizon.Moreover,the appearance of poems with drawing provides obscure ways to express people’s inner pursuit and life attitude.At the same time,the creative ideas of Zhang Ying’s idylls exerted some certain influences on the formation of Tongcheng Poems. |
