Ethical Thinking Of The Food Safety Problems In China

“The nation regards the people as its god while the people regard food as their god.If we can pay more attention to the peoples food,that is good enough.”Food is the material basis for human survival and development.Food security is the major issue concerning life and health,national economic development and social stability.Chinese communist party and government pay more attention to it,as well as the people particularly concerned about it.However,in recent years,some food enterprises are taking risks under the profit-driven,producing foods that endanger people's health.From large-scale enterprises to small-scale production workshops,food security issue have emerged in an endless stream and have continuously become the focus of social attention.Therefore,seeking the way to ensure food security has become an important mission to maintain national stability,social harmony and public health.The resolution of food security issue requires not only a sound legal system as a basis,but also a strict supervision system as a guarantee.It also requires a sound moral education system as a guide.The requirements and constraints of laws and regulations are mandatory,but which of the morals are from inside of people.Therefore,to rectify food safety,it is necessary to conduct a profound ethical review of food safety issue,strengthen moral governance and moral defense for food safety.From the perspective of ethics,this article conducts profound ethical considerations on China's food safety issue.The article first summarized the definition of food safety and the ethical definition of food safety,and reveals the ethical significance of the food safety.It also introduced the main issues of food safety in China,which is the basis of this research topic.Secondly,according to the current situation of our country,it made a panoramic investigation and a thorough analysis of the food safety problems from four aspects of enterprises,government,society and citizens,which mainly due to the lack of enterprise morality,government regulatory functions,social supervision,and the weak awareness of the citizens' food safety.Finally,on the basis of the foregoing research,it proposed an ethical counter measure to solve the food safety problems in our country,which combine the strengths of enterprises,governments,society,and citizens to jointly implement ethical and moral practices for dealing with the ethical issues.We should strengthen the construction of enterprise morality,strengthen the function of government supervision,play the role of social supervision,strengthen the construction of citizen's morality,and analyze and solve the problem of food safety in our country from all aspects.
