| The present report is written based on the Chinese translation of Property Law excerpts,which serves as one of the most authoritative reference books for legal examination in the UK and provides legal knowledge of personal property protection.Legal translation differs from other types of translation in specific terms and sentence patterns,some of which are encountered in this translation practice.It is the responsibility for translator to understand legal terms as well as the legal facts in both China and the UK.Some specific translation methods are employed in this report to deal with the legal terms and sentence patterns.This report consists of four parts.In Part One information about the source text such as its structure,its author’s academic situation and significance of this translation practice are introduced.In Part Two this general translation process is presented.In Part Three the representative translations problems are concluded and analyzed to which the translation methods are employed.In Part Four the findings both in practice and analysis are summarized. |
