A Study On Liu Shuang's Stage Image Creation In Opera Mulan Psalms

The scene symphony "Mulan Psalms" is a Chinese folk opera written by Guan Xia and Liu Lin.It integrates ancient poetry and modern opera and combines Western opera creation techniques,Chinese opera features and traditional Chinese opera elements.It is a landmark outstanding opera.This article takes the general influence of the opera Mulan Psalms and the study of Liu Shuang's image as the basis of the theoretical research.This thesis consists of the characteristics of the opera Mulan Psalms,the analysis of Liu Shuang's artistic image and my vocal singing techniques,and the experience of modeling Liu Shuang's image in my graduation concert,making a detailed analysis of the character Liu Shuang.First of all,the introduction is composed of the influence of "Mulan Psalms" and the significance and purpose of my research.At present,there is almost no analysis of Liu Shuang's character in "Mulan Psalms" worldwide.Each of the chapter in the opera can show Liu Shuang's spiritual quality and noble personality.It is meaningful and valuable to explore and learn such an exemplary role as the spiritual food of opera learners.Thus,according to the few researches of "Mulan Psalms" at home and abroad,I proposed the analysis of the character Liu Shuang.Secondly,in this thesis,I explain the characteristics of the combination of scenes and music as well as the features embodied in Liu Shuang's image.Also,I will analyze the distinctive musical material of character Liu Shuang and the humanistic spirit embodied in the play that reflects the unique style of "Mulan Psalms".Thirdly,the focus of this thesis is to conduct a detailed study of the artistic image of Liu Shuang and my singing techniques.Summarizing the character Liu Shuang from the music image and the drama image,he not only has a heroic side,but also has a kind heart.He is not only a hero of justice,but also a big brother who is self-sacrificing.Fourthly,in the aspect of singing techniques,I will do the research and exploration of my tone,use of breath,and articulation.So that when I was presenting characters,my stage image of the entire character image was more vivid.Finally,I will summarize the content of my thesis.
