A Historical And Geographical Research Of City Sites In Warring States And Qin And Han Era In Yulin

The Yulin area has always been a hot area for archeology,history,and other disciplines,not only because of its unique topography and natural environment,but also because of its important geographical location in the historical period.In the Warring States period,this place was occupied by the Qin,Zhao,Wei and other countries.During the Qin and Han era,it was also the gateway to the north of Guanzhong.It was the first line of interaction and collision between farming and nomadic civilization.In many cultural relics and historic sites during this time,the city sites all over the Yulin area have great research value.This article examines the sites of the Yulin area and conducts research from the perspective of historical geography from the following aspects:1.Study the distribution of the city site and the characteristics of site selection in order to sum up the general law;Analysis of three more dense city sites,Explain why the city was built here from military and political factors and economic factors,Judging the main functions of the city site from historical records and the surrounding environment of the city;2.Through the geographical environment of the city site,especially the changes of the natural conditions in the historical period of Mu Us Desert to examine the interaction between the changes in the natural environment and the urban construction,Summed up the characteristics of the high rate of abandoned city sites and the main reasons for this phenomenon,To understand the changes in the natural environment since the Warring States and the Qin and Han Dynasties in the Yulin area by examining the status of the preservation of the city site;3.Analyze the military conflicts between Shang County and Xihe County in the Yulin region during the Warring States and Qin and Han Dynasties to analyze the military status of the county in different periods,Restore the military defense system built by the Western Han government in the northern county and study the important role of the city site in this system;4.Determine the matching relationship between the ancient geographical names and the modern city sites by studying the survey and historical data,Zhengjiagou site should be Fushi,The site of the Dangcha city is Huanyin County and also be the Yinzhou City duringTang and Song Dynasty;Zhuanyaomao site should be Yangzhou in Qin and Han Dynasty;The Qiancheng city site is more likely to be located in Fuchang County,Xihe County in Han Dynasty.
