The trend of annotation began in the Southern Song Dynasty and ended in the Republic of China.In the history of critics for hundreds of years,the annotation in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty is in a period of vigorous development.During this period,Zuo Zhuan's annotation was fruitful,and Zuo Zhuan Jing Shi Chao was one of them.Wei Xi's annotation has unique values.One is the concept of humanistic pragmatism,and the other is the annotation of the eight-part thinking.This paper takes Zuo Zhuan Jing Shi Chao as the research object,mainly according to the twenty-three volumes' version revised by Peng Jiaping.It focuses on the grammar points,summarizes Wei Xi's points of view and features,and explores the value of Wei Xi's annotation.Finally,its ultimate goal is discussing the status of Wei Xi's annotation in the history of the Ming and Qing Dynasties.This paper includes four chapters:The first chapter mainly discusses the relationship between Wei Xi and eight-part essay.Starting from the basic structure of the eight-part essay,this chapter analyzes its influence on Wei Xi and the annotation of Zuo Zhuan.The second chapter mainly studies the concept of Wei Xi's annotation on Zuo Zhuan.Zuo Zhuan Jing Shi Chao is Wei Xi's work in due time,he summed up the lessons of the Ming Dynasty's demise to the ancient metaphor and form a personalized view point.One is the monarchical theory of magistrates and courtiers,and the other is the education theory of humanistic pragmatism and pursuing simplicity.The third chapter analyzes the features of Wei Xi's commentary on Zuo Zhuan.First of all,Wei Xi attached great importance to the narrative art of Zuo Zhuan,and used six kinds of annotation methods: namely,urgency,discontinuous,evolvable,imaginary,factual and endorsement.Followed by commenting on the art of Zuo Zhuan's rhetoric.There are three ways in which Wei Xi's appreciation of Zuo Zhuan's remarks can be made.It includes directly approving the admirable text,dividing the rhetoric according to the style,and grade.Wei Xi's concern about the resignation of Zuo Zhuan is related to his thinking on the use of soldiers.The last chapter discusses Wei Xi's endorsement comment.First analyze the two characteristics of the endorsement comment: virtual and solemn.Then explore the grammar of the annotation of the endorsement.One is Wei Xi's preparation before the character's endorsement: establishing the idea.Second is the three-step process of theendorsement: namely changing the character,deleting the sentence,and changing the structure.Finally,it discusses the theoretical sources of endorsements.
