Japanese contemporary writer Haruki Murakami in his works A Wild Sheep Chase?Green Street In Sydney?Library Legend?Noodle Factory In Italy?A Sheep Man's Christmas?Dance And Dance and 1Q84 shaped with sheep as the core of the image of a series.This paper takes these seven works as research objects to explore the metaphor and reflection of the "sheep" series of the image constructed by Haruki Murakami,and its universal values and significance.From three layers,this paper will explore the metaphorical meaning of the "sheep" series of the image and the author's reflection on Japan's modern history and Japanese modernity.The first layer,from the "sheep" series of the image at the heart of the sheep,analyzes the reason of sheep appeared in the work A Wild Sheep Chase,interprets the metaphorical meaning of jumbuck's aquaculture in Japan and the star sheep,overviews of sheep and sheep in the image of "sheep".The second layer analyzes the "sheep" series of the image in the sheep and the meaning of "sheep" metaphor,contacts the author of modernity on the level of social,political,and historical thinking,explores the sheep and the metaphor of "sheep" of Japan's political system,war and the reflection of highly developed capitalist society after the war.The third layer discusses the metaphorical meaning of the sheep man and interprets the representation of the man as the representative of Japan in the process of modernization,which reflects the writer's thinking on the philosophical level of modernity.Combining with the reflection of modernity society,politics and history,this paper probes into the spiritual essence and causes of Japanese people held by the reflection of modernity philosophy.Through the metaphor meaning of "sheep" series of images,the purpose of this paper is to analyze the metaphorical meaning "sheep" series of images on a variety of social and historical problems of Japan's modern history and reflection to the Japanese modernity philosophy,to explore the manifestation and causes of the Japanese spirit of "no backbone" in the two aspects of modernity.The exploration of the writer's thinking about the future of the modern Japanese who are trapped in the spiritual emptiness is of universal and practical significance to the modern human being trapped in this predicament.
