Since the latter part of 20 th century,policy game among climate change governance actors has become the core orientation of climate change research.The source text of this translation practice report is excerpted from Diarmuid Torney's work European Climate Leadership in Question: Policies towards China and India.The author aims to introduce new opinions and materials for domestic climate change research under guidance of the theory of“functional equivalence” to make contribution to the translation of political economics text.Under the guidance of Eugene Nada's theory of “functional equivalence”,the author translates European Climate Leadership in Question: Policies toward China and India.The author chooses three methods,namely literature review,comparison and case study to analyze and conclude the translation practice of text on climate change,and discusses application of theory of “functional equivalence” in translation from two perspectives: words and sentences.Through the process of preparation,practice and review,the author completes translation and analyzes some questions found in that process.The author concludes that the theory of functional equivalence plays a good guidance role in text on political economy and the translation has a good reading effects.
