Murakami and Yu Hua are representatives of the contemporary literary circles of China and Japan.They are all keen to express violent theme in their fictions.Although academia has noticed the narrative characteristics of violence,but the research is limited to their respective violence narration,for Haruki Murakami compared with Yu Hua 's narrative violence there is still a huge space for research.This paper attempts to further deepen the violent narrative research on Haruki Murakami and Yu Hua by means of comparison.The paper consists of the following parts:The introduction part stated the source of the problem and the research significance,summarizes the predecessor of Haruki Murakami and Yu Hua violence narration research achievements and deficiencies,to define and illustrate problems.The first chapter discusses the similarities between Haruki Murakami and Yu Hua's violent narration.Haruki Murakami and Yu Hua 's violence in ideological content and narrative form showing a nightmare of bloody carnival,a fantastic violence narration,the common features of violence and violent reality and history.The second chapter analyzes the differences between Haruki Murakami and Yu Hua 's violent narration.To compare the value orientation of violent narration,the responsibility of violence content,and the attitude of violent narration.The violent narrative of Haruki Murakami is a narrative of reflective violence with value judgment.He attributes the root of Japanese social violence to the closed system and adopts the violent narrative attitude of warmth and care.The violent narration of Yu Hua is an aesthetic violence narrative,and he believes that the violence is rooted in the instinct of human evil,and adopts the violent narrative attitude of the indifferent observer.The third chapter analyzes the reasons for the difference between Murakami and Yu Hua.From the author factor,social factor,literary field and so on,the author analyzes the reasons for the difference of the violent narration between Haruki Murakami and Yu Hua.The conclusion summarizes the full text and summarizes the similarities and differences of the violent narration between those two writers and reasons behind it.At last,the shortcomings of this paper are also mentioned in this part.
