A Study On Zhuxi's Za Xue Bian(?????)

Zhu Xi as a master of Neo-confucianist in the Song Dynasty,the formation of his ideological system is a dynamic development process.From1160 to 1170,it was a critical period for Zhu Xi's Neo-Confucianism to mature and systematized.“Za Xue Bian” was one of his important works in this period.However,there are not many special studies about it in academia,and its position in the development of Zhu Xi's thought has not been taken seriously.In this paper,the study of Za Xue Bian is attempted to make up for the vacancy in the academic world in the study of it.The book “Za Xue Bian” contains four critical articles written by Zhu Xi,which was written during his period of his “old question about equilibrium and harmony.The articles in “Za Xue Bian” reflect the concrete differences between Zhu Xi and Su Shi,Su Zhe,Zhang Jiucheng,and Lü Benzhong in terms of ontology,epistemology,and gongfu theory.Based on the text,this article analyzes the many differences in the differentiation from the three parts of the ontology,the epistemology and the gongfu theory.First of all,in the identification of the ontology,it includes the two parts of the “origin of nature and mandate of moral”and the “spirit and god” of the universe.Secondly,in the debate of the epistemology,it mainly involves how to obtain the knowledge of“investigate things to extend knowledge” and the understanding of the concept of “saint”.Finally,in the debate of gongfu theory,there are two issues include the “cultivation of mind and nature” and“sincerity and to practice of sincerity”in moral practice.These disagreements not only reflect the differences between external schools of thought,but also reflect the internal differences between the “mind”and “principle”.Judging from the relationship of thought contained in“Za Xue Bian”,it has been involved in the ontology of universe,the theory of mind and nature,epistemology,and the theory of relation between heaven and mankind.It reflects the comprehensiveness of Zhu Xi's thinking at this time.The “ Za Xue Bian ” embodies the awakening of Zhu Xi's Neo-Confucianism and is one of the important transitions of Zhu Xi's Neo-Confucianism thoughts to become mature and systematic.It occupies an important position in Zhu Xi's thought development process.
