The Innovation And Breakthrough Of Liuqin Music In Taiwan

Liuqin is the major accompaniment of musical instrument of various operas,such as“Liuqin Opera” of Shangdong and Jiangsu,“Sizhou Opera” of Anhui,“Thrum”of Shaoxing,Zhejiang and others.In 1958,Mr.Wang Huiran reformed this instrument,Liuqin,with the support of Jinan Military Region Qianwei Song and Dance Troupe,making Liuqin an instrument capable of playing solo,reprise and tutti henceforth.Liuqin has played a rather important role in the band since then.In the meantime,Mr.Wang Huiran created a large number of music pieces on Liuqin,trying to retain the original folk characteristics of Liuqin.Liuqin music began to flourish in Taiwan area in the 1980 s and 1990 s.Taiwan composers Su Wenqing and others created plenty of Liuqin music works,making innovations and breakthroughs in all aspects of Liuqin art.This article mainly demonstrates the development situation of Liuqin music in Taiwan Area and illustrates the innovations and breakthroughs of Liuqin music to Liuqin art by analyzing some of the classic musics from these perspectives--the freshness and romance of Taiwan Liuqin musical style,the bold attempt of new playing techniques,the massive creations of new compositions and the pioneering form of performance for Liuqin chamber music.this thesis is a perfection and enrichment of the research on Liuqin art theory,which has certain reference value and significance of the future progress and development of Liuqin.
