Three Theoretical Explorations Of "Aesthetics Of Life" In Contemporary China

The development of "Aesthetics of Life" can be roughly divided into two periods in contemporary China : New Stage(about from 1980 to 2000)and New Age(about from 2000 to this day).The“Aesthetics of Life" of New Stage is kind of an Applied Aesthetics,such as Dress Aesthetics,Garden Aesthetics,Architectural Aesthetics and so on.In general,its theoretical form is relatively single.The "Aesthetics of Life" of New Age arises from the discussion of "The Aestheticization of Everyday Life",which is connected with the literary theory and reflection on disciplines in the beginning,and implies the legalization of cultural study.However,it also causes or boosts the occurrence of "Aesthetics of Life" in China at the same time.After many years of theoretical study and construction,Aesthetics of Life in contemporary China has formed three paths of theoretical exploration : Firstly,"Returning to meanings of sensibility",the thinking pathway and theoretical goal of Wang Desheng,in short,which transforms epistemological sensibility to existential category.Secondly,"Rebuilding a holistic life",this is primarily Zhang Gongshan's academic pursuit,it means to forge the concept of the trinity of "living-life-being".Thirdly,"Returning to Lebenswelt",this is Liu Yuedi 's direction of efforts all the time.Its academic ideal is to return to the original state of life and establish a Performing Live Aesthetics.These three theoretical explorations question the possiblities of Aesthetics of Life from different angles.Although they has their own appeals,there are certain differences between each other,but they also commits to legitimise "Life of Aesthetics",makeing it to become a kind of new aesthetic form and achieve the happiness of people's life and harmony of society.The thesis is mostly structured on the three theoretical explorations of Aesthetics of Life in China.In particular,the Introduction chiefly introduces the research status in the New Stage and New Era,as well as the overal thinking of this paper;The first part introduces the "Returning to meanings of sensibility",and focuses on "New Aesthetic Principles" and "Value Noumenon of New Sensibility".The second part introduces "Rebuilding a holistic life",explaining the meaning,content and relatedpoetics and aesthetics and art theory;The third part introduces "Returning to Lebenswelt ",combing the chinese and western theoretical resources to support Aesthetics of Life,and the conception of daily life,and the trend of art towards life,and the reconstruction of aesthetical spirit;The fourth part is from "Aesthetics of Life" to "Aesthetic Education of Life",expressing the model about particularities,principles or methods and significances of the later;The conclusion is to summarize and compare the three theoretical explorations aforesaid and reflect "Life of Aesthetics".Because of its practice directivity,we believe that it is necessary to advocate the Aesthetic Education of Life,which is beneficial to the implementation of the theoretical pursuit of Life of Aesthetics.The academic community should strengthen its research on this subject.
