The Study Of Habermas's Theory Of Discursive Democracy

With the alienation of the ideology of science and technology,the colonization of the living world and the crisis of the legalization of the late capitalist society,the theory of discursive democracy came into being in the academic circles of the West."discursive democracy" is a new democratic perspective of today's capital society.It leads the modern democracy to a new direction.As the representative of the second generation of the Frankfurt school,the theory of discursive democracy proposed by Habermas has made a useful attempt to solve the series of difficult problems in today's society,especially to overcome the alienation brought about by science and technology.This article is divided into four parts:the first part introduces the origin and significance of the research on Habermas's discursive democracy theory,briefly combs the status of the research on the theory of discursive democracy both at home and abroad;the second part introduces the historical background and theoretical origin of the theory of Habermas's discursive democracy;the third part is the most important part of the article.It starts from three aspects:first,it introduces the theoretical cornerstone of the theory of discursive democracy,which is made up of universal pragmatics,discursive ethics and the theory of communication behavior.Then it analyzes the connotation and characteristics of the theory of discursive democracy,and finally discusses the purpose of Habermas's theory of discursive democracy.The fourth part is the evaluation of Habermas's theory of discursive democracy.This part discusses the contribution and limitation of Habermas's theory of discursive democracy from two aspects of theory and reality.
