With the continuous development of oracle bone inscription's collation and explanation,certain achievements have been made in the study of oracle bone inscription's configuration.Curvy line,as one of the components of oracle bone inscriptions,bronze object inscriptions and small seal scripts,appears in many ancient characters.However,little research has been done on this subject.A comprehensive and systematic analysis of the evolution and progress of the curvy line is of positive significance to the in-depth study of ancient characters.This dissertation is divided into five parts.The first chapter "Preface" summarizes and analyzes the curvy lines involved in the collation,explanation and configuration of oracle bone inscriptions,bronze object inscriptions,research determines the research methods concerning the oracle bone inscriptions,bronze object inscriptions' curvy line and its evolution in bronze object inscriptions,oracle bone inscriptions and small seal scripts.In the second chapter,the concept of curvy line in oracle bone inscriptions is confirmed.From the known oracle bone inscriptions,718 ancient characters containing curvy lines are selected as the research materials,and the number,location and combination of the statistical curvy lines are analyzed.The third chapter explores the origin and evolution of the curvy line in oracle bone inscriptions,bronze object inscriptions and small seal scripts and reveals the pictographic and marking functions of the curvy line.The fourth chapter examines the performance of curvy lines in the variant character formation and aesthetic art.The last chapter analyzes the explanation of Xu Shen's Shuowenjiezi,Duan Yucai's Shuowenjiezizhu and Wang Yun's Shuowenshili about the curvy line and points out its gains and losses.
