The research object of this article which called "Figure of female in contemporary Chinese painting" refers to the image of female that created in Chinese painting since the 1980s.The characteristics of these works have showed as follows:On the background of a specific era and historical cultural,the artist shows the nowadays women's life as entry point,with different viewing angles,painting styles and formal languages,that reflects the living conditions and inner world of women during the process of urbanization,and also makes contemporary women different from traditional women in values of aesthetics.The article uses the methods of sociology of art to analyze the creation and development of Chinese women's portraits in different historical periods in Chinese painting.Based on an in-depth understanding of the origin and development of images of female in Chinese paintings,the author focuses on the themes,style and emotional expressions of women's images in contemporary Chinese paintings,and considers the artistic value and practical significance of images of female.It is hoped that this will promote the creation of women' s images and society will pay more attention to women.From ancient to the present,there always are paintings depicting women as their theme.Painters of different eras have given women different cultural identities and spiritual connotations.nowadays,the aesthetic model of women's images has been broken with their single point,and artists have created their own images with their own aesthetic ideals and inner feelings,While portraying women's self-expression,a unique personal style and screen language are formed,reflecting the changes of the times and changes in the social environment,leading to changes in people' s ideas and aesthetics,and also improve the status of woman.However,the confusion caused by family,society,historical traditions,and gender differences is still in artistic practice,and even women is plaguing by life.How to reconstruct women' s image from the traditional to the modern transformation is not only an issue for every painter who paints contemporary women' s images,but also a question of global significance for the whole society to think about.
