The rapid development of mobile network and operating system has been an innovation of social networking and information transmission’s mode.According to China’s Internet Development Report,We Chat and such instant communication social softwares have occupied more and more time of people.Meanwhile,in the past two years,Chinese educational scholars have tried to apply We Chat and We Chat public platform to organize teaching activities and transform the traditional teaching mode to a new one.The traditional spoken English teaching mode cannot meet middle school students’ requirement to improve their spoken English ability.At present,the primary English teaching in our country is deficient in the area of spoken English,and the time for spoken English teaching in class has been very little,then students and teachers are not paying enough attention to the spoken language.After three months of the experiment,students and teachers re-examined the status of spoken English learning and enhanced their attentions and interest in spoken English learning.As a mobile communication software,We Chat has the advantages of interactivity,convenience and low cost.It can provide students with the opportunity to practice spoken English at anytime and anywhere.Therefore,it is very necessary to apply this After-class learning mode of We Chat public platform to middle school’s spoken English teaching.To test whether We Chat public platform will improve students’ interest in learning spoken English,their autonomous learning ability,and their spoken English level,the author used We Chat public platform to create the “English Chat Room” subscription,and organize after-class spoken English learning activities through pushing up messages and creating custom menus.This paper explores the application of We Chat public platform in the after-class spoken English learning,so as to expand the students’ scope and depth of learning spoken English.After three months of experiment,students and teachers re-examined the status of oral English learning in English learning,and enhanced their importance and interest in spoken English learning.The Paper used the methods of literature research,questionnaire,interview and experimental methodology.The experiment was applied among the students of two classes in eight grade of Lanzhou Jiaotong university affiliated middle school,the author provided questionnaires before and after the experiment,and collected data,then used SPSS to analysis data and spoken English test scores,in order to discuss whether this experiment had affections on students’ interest in spoken English learning,autonomous learning ability,and their spoken English abilities.During the process of the experiment,the author focused on experiences and summarizes,analyzed and solved problems in time,had done some fundamental work for future We Chat public platform’s practical application in after-school learning field,and also provides some practical experience for further related research.
