| The premier performance of the original Chinese opera "Camel Xiangzi" was a great success at the National Grand Theater in June 2014.The year also coincides with the 115 th anniversary of the birth of the author Lao She of the novel "Camel Xiangzi".The opera was produced by the composer Guo Wenjing,the scriptwriter Xuying,the director and choreographer Yi Liming,and the production has taken three years.It is a profound cultural and artistic heritage of the nation.It has also deeply integrated western music,culture and art,and has recovered Lao She's original work to the greatest extent.The main story of the opera “Camel Xiangzi” describes the miserable life of the rickshaw puller in Peking in the late 1920 s.Xiangzi's life has experienced three ups and downs.His dream of buying a rickshaw has been robbed.He has also been swindled by a brutal girl Huniu,and his beloved girl Xiao Fuzi committed suicide.His wife,Huniu,died of dystocia.Under the oppression of the old society,Xiangzi,an honest peasant youth,turned from being positive to self-abandonment.He ended with a short and miserable life.This story exposes the dark old society's exploitation and oppression of honest and good labors,and accuses the evil of the old society forcing people into "demon".Just as Mr.Lao She,the writer,relentlessly criticized the society,"it does not allow good people to have a way out."In the article,the author begins with the musical image and dramatic performance of the hero and heroine of the opera “Camel Xiangzi” and divides it into six chapters for discussion:The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly introduces the background and significance of the topic,the literature review and the research line and methods.The second chapter concerns an overview of "Camel Xiangzi",which mainly introduces the famous writer Lao She and his original novel "Camel Xiangzi" and multiple versions of other artistic adaptation works and devoted to a brief introduction of the Chinese original opera "Camel Xiangzi",which is described from the development of the Chinese original opera,the drama synopsis of the opera "Camel Xiangzi",the background of the opera creation,and the description of the creators andcast members.The third chapter analyzes the musical characteristics of China's original opera "Camel Xiangzi",mainly on the dramatic tension of drama,the classic theme full of old Beijing charm,the integration of various music writing techniques,and the national style-based embodiment.The fourth chapter consists of the analysis of the musical figures of the main characters in the play.We first sorts out the social relations of the characters in the theater,and then makes a detailed exploration of Hu Niu and Xiang Zi from the lyrics,stage performances and singing forms.The fifth chapter is concerned with the analysis of the music image and singing style of Xiang Zi and Hu Niu through a detailed analysis of the heroine's classic arias,"Look at this rickshaw," "Marriage," "Departure," and "The Death of Hu Niu."In the sixth chapter,by collecting and reconstructing the response of the opera“The Camel Xiangzi” in the society,we can conclude with the revelation of Chinese opera performances in role modeling,singing forms,stage art,and opera creation,and point out that Chinese opera creation should follow the unification of inheritance and development,as well as the unity of the nation and pluralism. |
