Objective:To investigate the relationship between peer victimization and behavior problems of left-behind children,and to explore the moderating effect of resilience in the relationship.Methods:1100 students from Hunan province were measured with 4 different questionnaires,General information questionnaire of left-behind children,the Chinese version of Olweus victim questionnaire,the Youth Self-Report and the Resilience Scale.988 valid questionnaires were received,the effective rate was 83.45%,include 488 left-behind children and 430 non-left-behind children.Results:(1)There were no significant differences in peer-victimization between left-behind children and non-left-behind children,but the differences in delinquent behavior(t=-1.971,P<0.05)and affect control(t=-2.484,P<0.05)were significant.(2)There were individual differences in left-behind children about behavior problems,which are manifested in gender,grade and custodial status(P<0.05),except the type of parents who were out for work(P>0.05).(3)Significant positive correlations were found between peer-victimization and behavior problems.(4)After control the demographic variables(gender,grade,and the relationship with guardian),goal planning and family support had moderating effect on relationship between peer-victimization and internal behavior problems in left-behind children,and there were no moderating effects in non-left-behind children.Conclusion:(1)The peer-victimization phenomenon of left-behind children and non-left-behind children is universal,and there are differences in behavior problems and resilience between left-behind children and non-left-behind children to a certain extent.(2)Left-behind children's behavior problems shown difference in gender,grade and custodial status.(3)Peer-victimization was closely related to behavior problems.(4)In left-behind children,after control the demographic variables,goal planning and family support buffer the negative influence of peer-victimization on internal behavior problems. |
