Objective:To study relationship between Network Behavior Characteristic and Internet Addiction in left-behind children, and to explore the moderating effect of Resilience.Methods:1350 students from five middle schools in Hunan province were assessed using the Internet Addiction Diagnostic Questionnaire,Adolescent Network Behavior Questionnaire and The Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescent.1154 effective samples were recovered, and the effective.rate was 85.48%.There were 616 left-behind children and 538 ordinary children.Results:(1)13.47%of left-behind children were diagnosed as internet addiction. The results of the χ2 test showed that there was no significant difference between left-behind children and ordinary children in internet addiction(p>0.05).(2)The score of Internet addiction among left-behind children was significantly different in gender(t=2.432,p<0.05)and grade(t=-3.506,p<0.001).Boys were higher than girls and senior high school students are higher than junior middle school student.(3)There was a significant difference between left-behind children and ordinary children on Net age(t=-5.089,p<0.001)and self-efficacy of internet(t=-3.349,p<0.01).The net age and self-efficacy of internet of the left-behind children were lower than those of the ordinary children.(4)Seven factors of Network Behavior Characteristic were significantly positive correlated to internet addiction, including sex and game, entertainment and relaxation, interpersonal relationship on net, positive evaluation, negative evaluation, network efficacy, network satisfaction.(5)After controlling gender and age, resilience plays a significant moderating role between the 3 factors of Internet behavior and Internet addiction, namely entertainment relaxation, positive evaluation and network satisfaction. The simple slope test shows that in the high resilience group, the 3 factors of Network Behavior Characteristics have a lower or even no predictive effect on the prediction of Internet addiction.Conclusion:(1)There was no significant difference in the incidence of Internet addiction between left-behind and ordinary children. There are gender and grade differences in the Internet addiction of left-behind children.Boys are more addicted to Internet than girls, and high school students are more serious than junior high school students.(2)The net age and self-efficacy of internet of the left-behind children were lower than those of the ordinary children.(3)Network content preference, positive network evaluation, and network satisfaction are closely related to Internet addiction.(4)The resilience of left-behind children can regulate the relationship between entertainment relaxation, positive evaluation, network satisfaction and Internet addiction.High resilience can reduce the negative effects of entertainment relaxation, positive evaluation and network satisfaction on the Internet addiction behavior of left-behind children. |
