Study On The Folk Song And Dance Art Of Dongxiang Nationality

Dongxiangis a characteristic ethnic minorityin Gansu province of China.The nationality has its name as the group lived in the Dongxiang area of Hezhou.With no written words,its languageis related to Chinese.It has a long history and folklore,which is an integration and development of many cultures.With its special ethnic language,ethnic origin,religious beliefs and customs,Dongxiang has created a unique style in singing and dancing art,which is the main symbol to distinct Dongxiang from other ethnics.However,some excellent folk songs and song-and-dance movements in Dongxiang have been lost for various reasons.This paper takes three different art forms in Dongxiang as case studies,namely Hua er,banquet songs and Harry.From the perspective of ethnology,the paper conducts an analysis on Dongxiang folk song and dance forms,in which the method of dance ecology feature extraction is used.In this way,The paper aims to summarize the social functions of Dongxiang folk song and dance art.This article contains four aspects.The introduction introduces the research status first,research scope,research methods and purposes of Dongxiang folk song and dance art.Deals with Dongxiang and its ethnic overview,elaborating its ecological environment,cultural environment,the development of ethnic origin,overview on ethnic culture as well as the remained forms of folk songs and dances in Dongxiang.Elaborated three excellent art forms of Hua er,banquet songs and Harry from the perspective of ethnology,based on the field survey.In addition,the typical forms and structures in the song and dance art are analyzed by using themethod of dance ecological feature extraction.Summarizes the artistic styleand social functions in Dongxiang folk songs and dances through the analysis of Dongxiang folk songs and dances.At last we explains the contemporary development and thinking of Dongxiang folk song and dance art.Dongxiang folk songs and dances need more people and more time to study.Therefore,we can make it adapted to the socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,carrying forward the excellent ethnic traditional culture.
