Animation is a new cultural communication means in the era of media,it is also an art form.The development of Chinese animation is not smooth in the world's history of animation.From the early period of China's first contact with animation to 1980s when excellent animation works with cultural connotation and national characteristics were created.In recent years,though the animation industry in China has also been developing,it is not optimistic as the animation which is full of national characteristics and cultural connotation have been hindered,and the animation seen on the market are all in Disney style.In order to solve this problem and find more traditional cultural resources,Huizhou wooded figures with strong Confucian thought is taken as the research object in the paper.On the basis of the deep exploration of Huizhou wooded figure's origin,the modeling and artistic characteristics of HUizhou wooden figure and animation figure have been research through literature research method,investigation method,schematic and empirical research method.The paper can be divided into the following aspects:Chapter 1 is the introduction,in which the background of the research object has been introduced systematically,and then the collected literature are integrated to form a summary,and the significance and innovation of the research are put forward,the research program also has been explored;Chapter 2 can be divided into four parts.first,the historical origin of Huizhou woodcarving is analyzed from the perspective of geography,economy and cultural factors.Then the reform and evolution of Huizhou woodcarving are systematically analyzed from its engraving scope,artistic style,carving craft and subject matter of Huizhou woodcarving,and the figures of Huizhou woodcarving are combed again from the artistic characteristics of Huizhou woodcarving figures,such as the composition,expression and form of characters.Chapter 3 is divided into seven small parts,the wooden figure in Huizhou and animation figure are compared and analyzed from the modeling principle,line use,facial details,color,tool materials,creative imagination and emotional sustenance;Chapter 4 is a fusion of Huizhou wooden figure and animation image by exploring the application of Huizhou wooden figure elements and in the animation image;Chapter 5 is the exploration of the animation image development research.And the last summary is the expectation of the cartoon image of Huizhou wooden figure,providing valuable materials for the development of the animation industry,it is hoped that Huizhou wooden figure can play its own value under the new mode of inheritance and dissemination.
