| The jade sword ornament is a kind of jade ornament used on the sword.There are 93 jade sword ornaments excavated from Haihun Marquis Liu He Tomb,which not only have various materials,beautiful decorations and exquisite workmanship,but also can be observed some marks left by tools in the making process.The paper adopts the method of multidisciplinary comprehensive study,from materials,forms,decorations,making process and functions to research these jade sword ornaments.Through the research we can kwon that these sword ornaments,which are mainly made of Hetian jade and rich in forms,are decorated a lot of feline dragon decoration and animal mask decoration.It also show that these jade sword ornaments made by cutting tool,linear tool,drill,pipe drill,mound tool,grinding tool and so on,which can fill the blanks in technological process of jade sword ornaments,and enhances people's understanding of the superb craft level of jade articles in the Han Dynasty.In addition,the paper also indicates that jade sword ornaments can beautify sword,distinguish rank and exorcise the evil spirits,having decoration,etiquette and funeral functions. |
