Haihun marquis Liu He and Zhongshan Jing monarch Liu Sheng are important figures in the history of the Western Han Dynasty,and the discovery of the Haihun marquis Tomb and the Mancheng Han Tomb also has important significance in the history of modern Chinese archaeology.First,Liu He inherits the title of the monarch of Changyi,then he succeeds the son of Zhaodi.But after a while,he is abolished as a public,after about 11 years,sealed as Haihun marquis.Liu Sheng is in the 42 nd years,who also the first king of Zhongshan.The tombs of Liu Sheng and Liu He are all preserved where funerary objects are also very rich,leaving valuable wealth for future generations.Based on the characters of Liu He and Liu Sheng recorded in historical materials,this paper compares the similarities and differences between the tomb of Haihun marquis and the Mancheng Han.This paper mainly starts from the two aspects of similarities and differences,combines the unearthed cultural relics,and carries out a comparative study from different perspectives such as ritual,music,diet and other aspects.By comparison,we find that both of them have etiquette education,certain literary literacy and music interest.A large number of weapons unearthed from their tombs are mostly ceremonial or defensive weapons to show their identity in the underground world and to protect them and their tombs.Jade swords not only serve as self-defense weapons,but also a symbol of etiquette culture and self-cultivation,which are unearthed at the core of tombs to symbolize the identity of the tomb owners.The main function of the terracotta figures in the early western Han dynasty was to show the status of the tomb owners.After that,its function was mainly related to the daily life of the tomb owner,which was more secular.This can be illustrated by the excavation of the rap figurines,the terracotta warriors from the two tombs.Unearthed with medical equipment and medical and other medical and related funeral goods,that the two people have prevention of disease,health care awareness,as the upper class society,they also have economic and political conditions to do that.In terms of diet,itwas found that they had a strong concept of enjoyment.Besides,diet also played a role of spiritual enjoyment,which reflected the social and economic development in the middle period of the western Han dynasty.From the perspective of cultural exchanges,the ways between the central plains and foreign cultures in the middle period of the western Han dynasty were related to the scope of exchanges.From the different points,it can be found that king and marquis had strict restrictions on burial clothes,the hierarchy and ritual system were the decisive factors.Although the standard for use of jade clothes was not completely determined,it had certain requirements.The unearthed private seal with the name of Liu He directly indicates the identity of the owner,while Liu Sheng does not have such a seal unearthed.Combined with the unearthed private seal materials of other Kings' tombs,it reflects the common situation of private seal in burial.The number of coins from the Haihun marquis far exceeds that of the Mancheng Han,and is no less than that of other vassal Kings,reflecting the wealth and noble status of Liu He.From the perspective of funerary pits,practical horses and chariots were unearthed in the chariot pits of Liu He's tomb,and the same as Liu Sheng.The burial with real horses and chariots was one of the important characteristics that distinguished the tombs of princes from other burials,indicating the particularity of Liu He's status.The two tombs have their own characteristics in burial clothes,funerary pits,seals,currency and other aspects,which is the special identity of Liu He and also reflects the difference between the king's tomb and the marquis' s.Through the comparative study of tombs grave goods,will help toenrich the cultural image of the characters in the literature,deepen the understanding of the system of carriage and burial clothes,the size of funeral clothes,the amount of wealth,the inheritance of rites and music,etc.,and have a deep understanding of the politics,economy,culture and other aspects of the princes and nobles in the western Han dynasty.
