There are great differences between English and Chinese.Chinese students are involved in a natural Chinese language environment,and they are in the process of language acquisition in the formation of a Chinese way of thinking.The Chinese way of thinking will have a certain impact on English learning of the students.Domestic and foreign scholars have put forward many abundant theories on language transfer,and they have focused their attention on the impact of language transfer on English writing.Combined with the actual situation of English Writing Teaching in senior middle school,this paper mainly focuses on the following issues:(1)What are the common errors caused by language transfer in English writing of senior high school students,and how many categories can these errors be divided into?(2)What are the detailed causes of language transfer in senior high school students' English writing?(3)What relevant strategies can play a role in the teaching of English writing for senior high school students?Methods for this study are survey method,text analysis method and experimental method.103 students from Suzhou N02.Senior High School act as the research object.Firstly,in order to understand the basic situation of language transfer in senior high school students' English writing,questionnaires and interviews will be used.Secondly,students' English writing samples will be collected and analyzed through contrastive analysis and error analysis in order to find out the main errors in writing samples,and transfer error types will be generalized.Thirdly,combined with the practical teaching,this paper has come up with some detailed teaching strategies.It is found in this paper that when writing English articles,high school students are influenced by mother tongue to a certain degree.Both positive and negative transfer appear in high school students' English writing.On the one hand,the exactly corresponding words between English and Chinese can decrease the troubles the students meet when they write their articles.On the other hand,lexical errors,syntactic errors and expression errors appearing in high school students' English writing are closely related to the negative transfer of mother tongue.
