This article takes the verb "know" and the negative form "don't know" and the combination of this two words and other words in a sentence as the research object.In specific writing,the verb "know" and the negative form "don't know" are sometimes written as "(not)know".This article uses corpus research methods,combining methods of description and interpretation,exploring the syntactic and semantic features of the structure of "(not)know" and its pragmatic features.Then exploring the cognitive mechanism of the transmission and understanding of the known or unknown information hidden by the Han nationality behind it.The full text is mainly divided into three parts:The first part is the analysis of the syntactic form of "(not)know",counting and analysing the idiom related to the structure of "(not)know"and their collocation with the subject.At the same time,it mainly studies the situation of this structure modified by adverbs and wishful verbs.The second part mainly analyzes the meaning of "(not)know" in a sentence.Its basic meaning has a semantic blurring in the long-term use.And under different circumstances,this structure can be expressed objectively.It can also express subjective intention,that is whether the speaker is willing to know this fact.The third part mainly studies the pragmatic function of "(not)know".The use of the word "know" in a sentence may not be really known.The use of the word "don't know" in a sentence is sometimes not necessarily true."(not)know" can express rich implications.
