The Role Of Self-Esteem,Narcissism,and Social Influence On Posting Behavior On SNS Among Young Adults In Banda Aceh

This study to discover how narcissism can affect posting behavior on SNS among young adults and how self-esteem can affect posting behavior on SNS among young adults in Banda Aceh.The researcher's target populations were young adults as the students at the university in Banda Aceh from the time frame such as 15-40 years with mean of age 28 years old,with the gender ratio 66.8%female and 33.3%male.In additional major ratio 20.8 in Math&Science and 79.3 in Humanistic&Art.In total,400 participants participated in the study.The instrument used for the pilot study was found to be multi-dimensional.Therefore,ANOVA method was selected as an appropriate statistical procedure for the assessment of the internal reliability of the pilot study instrument.It was thus determined that if the final instrument adopted proved to be multidimensional,the Hoyt-Stunkard ANOVA would also be applied to their sponges to the instrument.The Hoyt-Stunkard method was developed for use in determining internal consistency for unrestricted scoring items.Thus,it is appropriate to use this method for non-summated Likert scale scores.Results of the study revealed self-esteem could be effect to posting behavior but not significantly.The significant impact is 0.09>0.05,narcissism could be effect to posting behavior significantly.The significant impact is 0.00<0.05,self-esteem and narcissism could not be effect to posting behavior significantly.The significant impact is 0.11>0.05,self-esteem and social influence could not be effect to posting behavior significantly.The significant impact is 0.18>0.05,and narcissism and social influence could be effect to posting behavior significantly.The significant impact is 0.00>0.05.Due to all these findings presented above,the present study suggested that social media should give the positive impact for the user because it could be increase their self-esteem and encourage them have a good communication with their friends.The negative impact could be coming from the narcissism when the user posts their daily activity and become love themselves it will make them more addict in using SNS.Finally,government,parents and teachers,should have a good corporation to arrange young adults' time in using SNS.Further study could be purpose to find out the posting behavior related with addiction behavior.
