Zhang Tongdao has three identities-scholar,teacher and creator,and all the threeidentities are related with the documentary.From the Neighborhood Committee in1999 to the Post-00s in 2017,Zhang Tongdao has created many excellent documentaries,among which the academic documentaries and those about childrenare widely known in academic circles and documentary filming field.In the 20 yearsof documentary creation,Zhang Tongdao has formed a unique scholar-dierctorcreation style and the university documentary creation mode cooperated by academiccircles and documentary filming field.In addition,Zhang Tongdao has beencommitted to the teaching and research of documentary,and trained professionaltalents for the development of the documentary.This article is centered on the Zhang Tongdao's documentary creation.First of all,we need to probe into the inner relationship between three identities,clarify Zhang Tongdao's documentary creation process,analyze the evolution of his creationthoughts,and conclude the theme of his documentary creation.Secondly,from theperspective of text,this paper summarizes the characteristics of the scholar-director creation in his documentary filming.Then,we turn to Zhang Tongdao's documentarycreation mode,analyze the necessity and feasibility of the university documentarycreation mode cooperated by academic circles and documentary filming field,andprovide experience for the development of other university documentaries.Finally,the humanistic feelings in Zhang Tongdao's documentary creation is extracted.
