In daily life, individual’s behavioral decisions are often effected by emotions, and emotionally colored stimuli are more likely to cause attentional bias.Attentional bias refers to the individual’s high sensitivity to specific stimuli with selective attention, while processing rejection of other stimuli.Affective priming is more sensitive to the same target stimuli as the starting stimulatory titers, and subsequent cognitive processing is affected by the previous emotions, which in turn influences the bias of attention.Children in elementary school are unstable and emotionally vulnerable to the external environment. At the same time, the mechanism of emotional bias on children’s attention to biased influence is not yet clear. This study examines the differences in the orientations of emotional emotions and the changes in the position of emotional images in different emotions from the perspective of development, and explores the effect of emotional initiation patterns and clue placement on the attentional bias of school-age children.Experiment 1 used emotional pictures and emotional face maps as materials for 70 students of three elementary school ages(8,10,and 12 years old)who recorded eye movements data in point detection tasks through eye tracking technology. The results showed that:(1)Compared to a calm face,a face with emotions first arrived at a short time, indicating that the emotional face map captures attention more quickly;(2)Positive emotions start longer than other faces for the smiling face, and the reaction time is fastest, following the principle of emotional consistency;(3)Under the influence of negative emotions, children of the younger age group(8 years old and 10 years old)are still gazing most at the smiling face, respond more quickly, and have an emotional inconsistency effect;(4)The child’s gaze on the emotional face is significantly greater than the calm face in the non-activated condition, with the most attention to the smiling face.Experiment 2 based on experiment 1,transform emotions to start image location, continue to record eye movement data through eye tracking technology,The results showed that:(1)Whether the starting picture position is on the left or right, the emotional face arrives faster;(2)In the early stage, the position of the face opposite to the position of the emotion picture arrives faster, and then influenced by emotional stimuli. In the positive emotion state, the smile face is most processed, and the negative emotion state is most closely observed in the sad face.Based on the above two experimental results,it is shown that emotional facial maps can give priority to attention.Children in lower age groups show emotional inconsistencies in the initiation of negative emotions, and tasks with emotions can affect return inhibition, making them tend to focus on emotions again.
