Overviewing the theme of contemporary Chinese rural documentaries,it is not difficult to find that the important proposition of rural culture and urban-rural relationship is contained vaguely.This research focuses on how the image rhetoric reconstructs the relationship between the Chinese rural culture and the historical situation behind it in the rural documentary from 2003 to 2016.In the case that the academic circles have not clearly defined the concept of the type of rural documentary,the author strives to study the cultural reconstruction of the rural documentary with an attitude as the founder,so the study is mainly divided into two parts: the introduction of the first part and Chapter 1 includes the summary and delineation of the object of study,its related background,as well as the exploration of the legal basis of the concept of rural documentary.First,from the historical dimension,the formation of the logic of rural culture is invesigated,and then from the ancient Chinese painting,the possibility of rural vision is researched,and finally,the evolution and development of the creation of rural documentary since the 20 th century is summerized.This part of the study follows the genealogical method to investigate the origin of the rural documentary,that is,tracing the origin of the object and the origin of the annotated object,and then trying to construct the cultural research genealogy of the rural documentary.The second part of the study mainly discusses the relationship between rhetoric and cultural reconstruction from 2003 to 2016 from the aspects of cultural memory,ethics and identity.Chapter 2,from the support of media to rural memory,memory text and social communication,analyzes the production mechanism and social communication mechanism of image,media and viewer.Chapter 3 discusses the ethical and moral issue reflected in rural documentary produced under the influence of the new record movement in the 1990 s and the independent documentary style in the transition period in a short period of time after 2003.From the aspects of the village being stigmatized as the bottom,the compromise and struggle of the unknown in the countryside,and the system heteronomy and moral self-discipline,the author analyzes the balance between the exercise of the documentary's presence power and the ethical morality.Chapter 4 probes into the reasons for the formation of the mechanism of individual identity in the rural documentary film,analyzes the psychological structure and identification mechanism of the viewer with the theories of psychoanalysis and communication,and puts forward the reconstruction strategy of identity dilemma.The conclusion part of the study does a unified summary and reflection on the basis of the three levels above in the cultural reconstruction of rural documentaries.This paper attempts to put the cultural reconstruction of the rural documentary under the historical changes and social reality dimensions,on the one hand to clarify the history of the development of the Chinese rural documentary,on the other hand,to explore the relationship between the rural documentary and the cultural reconstruction.For the latecomers to the study of the theory of rural documentaries to provide a kind of thinking paradigm for reference.
