As a new product of the deep development of globalization, simultaneous interpretation has been widely used in international conferences and seminars.Acting as a linguistic bridge, simultaneous interpretation has also played an increasingly important role in television programs, especially in political public speech and talk shows. This report is based on a simulated SI practice of Zhang Weiwei's speech on Rising China from Voice of China.Under the guidance of Newmark's semantic and communicative translation theory, the author proposes some relevant coping strategies for the difficulties and problems in the interpreting process, and discusses the practicability and feasibility of interpreting skills. This report includes four chapters:introduction, theory analysis, case study and conclusion. The author introduces the preparation of the task in the first part.In the second part, the author analyzes the guiding theory for the source text.In the third part,by comparing the source text and target text, based on Newmark's semantic and communicative translation theory, the author analyzes the difficulties in lexical, syntactic and discoursal level, and the application of coping strategies in the interpretation. The author uses the strategies as syntactic linearity, omission and anticipation to cope with the difficulties in this interpreting practice like numbers, terminology and long sentences. Finally,in the fourth part, the author concludes the simulated practice experience, and puts forward suggestions on how to do such interpretation well.
