Product launch is an essential platform for high-tech companies to promote the new products.With the features of more flexible form and stronger professionalism,the electronic product launch is different from the traditional launch,so more challenges are brought to the interpreter.Communicative Translation Theory was an emerging translation theory proposed by Professor Peter Newmark in the 1980 s.The theory is based on the collation,classification and summary of a large number of translation practical activities,and ultimately serves for interpreting and non-literary translation.Newmark believes that interpretation is an audience-centered activity,in which the translator should pay more attention to the effect of translation,that is,the response of the audience.In the process of translation,the effect that the interpreter wants to achieve is that the feeling of the target language audience is very similar to that of the source language audience.This thesis mainly introduces and studies the application of Newmark's Communicative Translation Theory in the electronic product launch,and summarizes its E-C simultaneous interpretation strategies.It is divided into four chapters.Firstly,the author introduces the overview of the Communicative Translation Theory,electronic product launch,and the simultaneous interpretation.In the second place,on the point of Newmark's Communicative Translation Theory,and guided by domesticating strategy,the author analyzed the simultaneous corpus of the launch from the aspects of vocabulary,sentence pattern,the means of expression and content,which aims to explore the embodiment of Communicative Translation Theory in simultaneous interpretation strategy in Apple launch.The thesis ends with the conclusion,which summarizes the results of the research and analysis in this thesis,and makes some suggestions for future research.The author selects Apple New Product Launch in September 2019 as the corpus.Through the analysis of Communicative Translation Theory and the study of the corpus,it concludes that Communicative Translation Theory provide guidance for product launches.Using the specific principles under the guidance of Communicative Translation Theory,namely the principle of information communication,audience orientation,and streamlined interpreting,and adopting the methods such as omission,amplification,free translation,retranslation and syntactic linearity,can further enrich the application of Communicative Translation Theory in the interpreting of electronic product launch.It is also hoped to be instructive for the practice of other interpreters.
