| Human solicitude for other lives is one of the important symbols to measure the degree of human civilization.As one of the eight art forms,the film field has also emerged a series of works that reflect human care for other lives,namely animal-themed movies.There is no shortage of masterpieces in this type of film and it has a strong momentum of development.This article will focus on researching feature films in animal films and take America as an example because this type of movie first appeared in the U.S.This article mainly uses the literature research method and the text analysis method to combine the historical animal feature films in the United States,and analyzes the themes and expressions of films from the perspectives of movie theory,film narratology and ecological ethics.The article is mainly divided into five parts.Charter 1 is the introduction,which explains the research background and current research situation,research methods and purpose,the framework of the paper,etc.Chapter 2 discusses the motivation and development process of American animal theme films,analyzing from two aspects——material technology,ideology and culture.And then the entire development process is divided into four stages: forming period,development period,prosperity period,and maturity period.Chapter 3 is the core part of the article.First of all,this kind of movie is further subdivided into drama,comedy,disaster film,and science fiction film.Furthermore,it is analyzed that the topics expressed mainly relate to the relationship between humans and animals,the relationship between animals,and other personalized themes.Chapter 4,on the basis of the third chapter,analyzes the narrative features of these themes from the perspectives of narrative perspective,viewpoint and voice.Chapter 5,as a supplement,analyzes the inadequacies of the theme of expression so as to make it possible for us to use it for our own purposes and to provide inspiration for the creation of movies of the same type in China. |
