The Image Of China In American Movies After The Cold War

Since the new century,with the continuous development of the wave of globalization,cross-cultural communication has become more and more frequent.As an international art language,movie composition has become an important way to enhance cultural transmission,information transmission,national emotion and national culture.This article is based on "the image of China in American films after the cold war".This paper studies the following two aspects: first,China increasing international status,China film market is attracting more and more investors to film the world's attention,in this context,how to develop and utilize the resources of Hollywood China;second,Hollywood in the development and utilization of resources on the basis of China how to use film this unique art form to create Chinese image.This paper analyzes the image of China in the American movie from the time frame,and compares the evolution of Chinese image in the American movie after the traditional American movie and the end of the Cold War(December 25,1991).The Hollywood movie image China many typical image,from the initial film Chinese negative evil demonized image,to China later positive,and the variety of China image,visible image of Western audiences cognitive Chinese produced a constant change,and reflect the audience awareness of Chinese and the traditional spirit from the side.The Chinese image in American movies is also rich from the original single to the present.The American film development and mining Chinese image and Chinese resources,such as China actor,director,photographer,China Chinese China traditional culture,Chinese landscapes,shows more and more China movie market in the Hollywood attraction,showing the greatness of Chinese culture deeply.But it is worth our attention,although the film more and more American by China image and Chinese elements,but in the cultural connotation of the expression values,is more biased towards the west,to convey the image of the Chinese,still with the United States as the superiority of the western powers.The image of the country is an external manifestation of the comprehensive strength of a country.The image of China created through the film is also an important part of the national soft power.In order to retrieve the right to speak,Chinese films must strive to develop the international market and create apositive image of China,so as to make the Chinese image show positive,positive and rich connotations.
