Relations between teachers and students are formed in the process of teaching and education.It is a kind of particular social relation,as well as the most basic,important,active relationship in interpersonal communication,and it is the foundation for the realization of educational function.The inherent requirement and essential elements of a good education also require a harmonious relationship between students and teachers.Appropriate relationship between teachers and students is an important factor to achieve effective teaching.While teaching knowledge and developing students' intelligence,teachers have emotional exchanges with students.Teachers' respect,love and trust with their students,as well as the close cooperation in teaching,can motivate students' internal learning incentive and induce students' enthusiasm.In particular,for the novice teacher who lacks teaching experience should pay greater attention to the relationship with students.Thus,some measures are provided in this thesis.As a relatively new method in Chinese teachers' development research,narrative inquiry is closely linked to people's life.It is recognized that life experience is the source of data.The researcher goes through a period "living-telling-reliving-retelling" to reconstruct the knowledge about relationship between students and teachers.Therefore,this article aims to investigate the construction of the teacher-students' relationship in the teaching practice of novice English teachers through the narrative inquiry of the author's own daily teaching life.This paper focuses on the researcher's daily teaching life to explore the factors that influence inexperienced teachers' relationship with students.The researcher is also the author,so this is an autobiographical narrative inquiry.The research puzzles are:(1)What are the factors that influence teacher-students' relationship?(2)How can the relationship be improved in the process of interaction between students and teacher?And there are two stages in this autobiographical narrative inquiry.At first,the author is living with the students,and at the same time she collects data through interview and classroom observation and so on.Secondly,the author does a narrative analysis of the data before finding the results.The findings of this research indicate that it is of great importance to build a harmony relationship between students and teachers.Because of the contradiction between inexperienced teachers' education beliefs and the reality,the relationship was influenced by not only the teachers' personal knowledge,but also some cultural contexts,social situations and so on.The reflective research should be done in their teaching practices frequently,and teachers should gradually develop the ability to interact with students.
