Research On Martial-arts Narrative Of The Legend Of Qin

Martial-arts culture has a long-standing history,artistic works like novels,Chinese operas,movies concerning it are beyond count,whereas animations have relatively been a weak link.Having gone through the prosperity and decline of "Chinese School",there are many things waiting to be done.Recent years,with the support of national policies and the collective efforts of animation producers,Chinese animation just gradually backed to its own track,developing vigorously,and the success of martial-arts animations were an important achievement.As China's first 3D martial-arts animation,The Legend of Qin series has screened for ten years,its influence is extensive and far-reaching,the experience and productions of its martial-arts narrative have an enlightening value for the newcomers.This thesis focuses on the martial-arts narrative of The Legend of Qin,researching it from the image,language,connotation three aspects.By discussing the construction of image with martial-arts,visual signs,knight-errant and anti-knight-errant,the pedigree of Qin's rivers and lakes these three martial-arts elements,analyzing four main methods of martial-arts narrative--shots,montages,sounds and traditional art techniques,exploring designatum of martial-arts narrative,which refer to conveyance of chivalrous spirits,representation of individual values and revelation of growth theme,we can see the complexity and peculiarity of The Legend of Qin series' martial-arts narrative.
