Purveyance, which is one of the financial privilege enjoyed by the England royal family, means that the King of England has the right to order the official residence of royal court of England or local princes to purchase royal necessities at a low price and forcibly purchase transportation tools from various places to transport various military logistics supplies during the war. This privilege eased the financial constraints of the England royal family to a certain degree, and met the requirements of their extravagant life and external expansion.Through the inspection of the 13-15 century Purveyance,we can better understand and understand the financial revenue and expenditure of the king during this period and enrich the existing research results. The main contents of this article can be divided into 5 sections, including the origin of purveyance, the operating mechanism of purveyance, the characteristics of purveyance, the crisis of purveyance and the influence of purveyance. The first chapter discusses the origin of purveyance.Taking into account the coherence of the development process, the author not only introduces the original "right of hospitality",but also analyzes the reasons why the right of hospitality evolves into purveyance, which provides a brief background for the discussion of the core content of the entire article. The second chapter explains the operating mechanism of purveyance from the aspects of the purchasing content, distribution status, and organizational form.Relying on the right, the England royal family obtained a large amount of various materials to supply their daily life and various military expenditures for the military. There is also a slight difference between the organization form during peace and war.For this reason, the author devotes a separate introduction in the third section of this chapter. On the basis of the second chapter, the third chapter summarizes the more clear characteristics of purveyance. Then the fourth chapter focuses on the crisis and abolition of purveyance.Due to various reasons,in the 13th-15th centuries, the public continuously complained about purveyance, and the rebel movements broke out repeatedly. Therefore,"purveyance" became one of the main objects discussed by the England Parliament. In order to quell the feelings of the subjects' dissatisfaction and anger,Kings and Parliament of England issued numerous acts such as Magna Carta,Statute of Westminster I,The Ordinances of 1311,Statute of Purveyors and so on and tried to standardize purveyance and punish misbehaving royal buyers. However, these decrees also restricted the financial power of the England royal family to some extent. In the end, under the constant efforts of the majority of subjects, purveyance was completely abolished in 1660 and had since withdrawn from the stage of history.Based on the summary of the full text, the last chapter of this article strives to further analyze the influence of purveyance on market development, manor agriculture, and the property right of the king,so as to deepen our understanding of purveyance and highlight the practical significance of this article.
