There is high frequency and high intensity communication and collision between different culture as long as the progress and development of the times.The revival of China's excellent traditional culture has become the new requirement for the development of China.It is of great significance to understand the influence of traditional culture on people's personality structure,mode of thinking,behavior pattern and so on.Zhong-yong is one of the core elements of the Confucian culture and is an important guiding principle for the Chinese people to live in the world.However,the research on the Zhong-yong thinking style is still in the initial stage,and the research on the relationship between Zhong-yong thinking style and the mental health of university students is still lacked.This study takes university students as a sample to explore the relationship between the Zhong-yong thinking style and personality and psychological quality and its internal mechanism.In this study,a total of 574 university students in a university in Tianjin were selected as the subjects.Three psychological factors of Zhong-yong thinking style,self-consciousness and emotional intelligence were measured by the Zhong-yong Thinking scale.Self Consciousness Scale and Emotional Intelligence Scale.The results of the study show that:1.University students' Zhong-yong thinking level is generally high.There is no difference in the total score and the dimensions of the Zhong-yong thinking of university students.The educational background differences in the multi dimension of thinking is significant,and the scores of master students are significantly higher than those of undergraduates.2.There is a significant positive correlation between university students'Zhong-yong thinking style and self-consciousness and emotional intelligence,and university students' self-consciousness is positively correlated with emotional intelligence.3.Zhong-yong thinking style has a significant positive predictive effect on self-consciousness and emotional intelligence,and self-consciousness has a direct positive predictive effect on emotional intelligence.4.Self-consciousness plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between Zhong-yong thinking style and emotional intelligence,including public self-consciousness and private self-consciousness.The mediating effect of private self-consciousness in the relationship between Zhong-yong thinking and emotional intelligence is greater than public self-consciousness.Based on the results of this study and referring to previous studies,this paper puts forward suggestions on how to improve Zhong-yong thinking style level of individuals and the development of individual emotional intelligence,and makes prospects for future research.
