Intertemporal choices can be seen everywhere around us,such as:Choosing to spend now or leaving money for future retirement;Choose whether to study hard now or choose to make asymptotical preparations. As small as the individual' s daily life, clothing, food, housing, and transportation,as well as the formulation of corporate collective rules and regulations,we need to carry out the results of different periods.select.Intertemporal choice refers to the process by which people make trade-offs between gains and losses at different time points. It often includes a variety of influencing factors such as situational conditions, delay time, monetary quotas, and demographic variables. It is a very complex decision-making system. This study has designed two experiments based on previous studies of intertemporal selection. In Experiment 1,the matching task paradigm was used to compare the time discount rate of the subjects in the context of gains and losses, attempting to explore the behavioral differences of intertemporal choices in the context of returns and losses. In the second experiment, under the conditions of gains and losses, the matching task paradigm was used to set different monetary limits and delay time conditions,to explore the impact of the two on intertemporal choices, and to verify the interval effect and quantitative effect. Finally, the influence of demographic variables on the time discount rate is also discussed.Get the following conclusions:(1)The time discount rate under the income scenario is greater than the time discount rate under the loss scenario, which shows the phenomenon of loss avoidance.(2)In the scenario of income and loss, the interval effect shows super-additivity.(3)There are quantitative effects in both the income and loss scenarios.(4)Age regulates between smaller-sooner and larger-later options.Compared with younger age subjects, high age subjects have significantly increased their time discount rate and are more inclined to avoid losses.
