The study on the metaphor of Chinese medicine language belongs to the category of cognitive metaphor. The study of special books is the basis of the cognitive analysis of the linguistic metaphor of Chinese medicine. To popularize the cognitive style of traditional Chinese medicine and traditional Chinese medicine,Yi Xue Shi Zai Yi,Yi Xue Cong Zhong Lu,Yi Xue San Zi Jing,Shen Nong Ben Cao Jing Du and Chang Sha Fang Ge Kuo in Chen xiuyuan are used for research in this paper. The following are our research ideas.First of all,we can select 1067 metaphorical expressions in medical books according to external markers such as “weizhi,” “ming”,“sucheng”,“piru” and so on.The second,These metaphors are divided into source domain and target domain according to Lykoff's metaphor three points. The third, based on similarity,we can analyze “faxiang”,the method of “faxiang” and the construction of metaphor in these books. The last,we will analyze the metaphorical words and “xungu” of the language of Chinese medicine in medical books, using theories such as theory of conceptual integration, theory of highlight view, theory of focus and framework. The analysis of the metaphor of Chen shuyuan's medical book shows that Chinese traditional medicine constructs theoretical system and organizational language expression with metaphorical thinking. It has not only confirmed the general principles of cognitive metaphor, conceptual integration, focus frame theory, but also embodied the unique content of traditional Chinese medicine thinking and its cognitive framework. In the source domain analysis, there are several metaphors about nature, things, places, and the human society, which is 69% of the total. It is indicated that traditional Chinese medicine is mainly based on natural and social understanding of human body and disease, and it conforms to the mapping path which is familiar to strangers. The metaphorical representation of the target domain is similar to that of the disease domain, and there is a small number of metaphorical expressions in drug prescription domain. For the same target domain, the elements involved in the construction of metaphor have the largest number of functional classes and fewer morphological elements,so it can be seen that traditional Chinese medicine attaches importance to functions and disregards entities.Using the theory of image thinking, the metaphor similarity is analyzed. The construction of metaphor is divided into two steps: image selection and comparison.People construct the metaphor similarity by using “tian ren xiang ying”,“yin yang” and “wu xing sheng ke”.Patients are treated on the basis of their condition.According to the content highlighted in the initial source domain, the missing details of the target domain are automatically supplemented in the brain, which reflects the locality of the metaphor mapping. The systematicness of metaphor is represented by the hierarchy relation between the two domains and the metaphor of causality. The figurative manifestation of metaphor is the multiplicity of traditional Chinese medicine, which imitates the image of the source domain to understand and construct the image of the target domain.Through the analysis of metaphor formation,it is found that people's cognitive demand will influence the distribution of metaphorical morpheme.Different from the general meaning of “big categories, small classes”,the difference between the meaning of the exegetics of traditional Chinese medicine shows that people can redefine some concepts with the medical theory. So it is difficult to grasp the concept of traditional Chinese medicine without understanding the medical science.According to the focus and frame theory of metaphor,it is found that context restricts the choice of metaphorical elements.
