Huang Chuanqi, born in Changsha, Hunan province in 1846, was Tien Si (A successful candidate in the highest imperial examinations) in the 15th year of Emperor Guangxu (1889) and the head of Chongming county in the 19th year of Emperor Guangxu(1893). He was in honest and capable of political administrations during his tenure. Mr. Huang was knowledgeable and studious,wrote a number of books which involved classical scholarism, literature, arithmetic and medicine and so on. His book, Medical compromise advise article,divided into three parts, with more over one hundered thousand words,Was edited by Zanhua literary society in the 34th year of Emperor Guangxu, which was an important masterpiece on medical research in the late Qing dynasty.The book was collated and researched in this essay, and divided into two parts:Part1 is for collation and annotation. Firstly, punctured according to the modern language standard. Secondly, rectified based on the mistakes and digression.Thirdly, noted for the name of Chinese medicine and title of books, also replenish more information for the abbreviation that mention in the book. Last, make clear for the allusions and the unreadable words which appear in the book.Part Ⅱ is for detail introduction to the life of Huang Chuanqi, also summarized for the edition of Medical compromise advise article and the value of the book in the final.
