Research On Contemporary Lianshan's Literature Activities

Lianshan Zhuang and Yao Autonomous County,located among mountains in Southern China,is one of the three ethnic autonomous counties in Guangdong and has a relatively closed geographical unit.People of Han Nationality as well as the ethnic groups of Zhuang and Yao have lived here for generations by farming,hunting,drinking and singing,thus have formed their cultural boundaries.Since the foundation of the People's Republican of China,Chinese government has enhanced Lianshan's cultural boundaries via passing the policy of ethnic recognition and establishing autonomous counties.Meanwhile,People in Lianshan also have developed their own literature and culture via road construction built by government and external assisting force by the intellectuals.This thesis taking Lianshan's contemporary literature and literary life as the research object,discusses the pattern and characteristics of its contemporary literature and literary activities under the influence of traditional folk literature and the unified Chinese literary policy.The introduction part mainly discusses the particularity and possibility of taking Lianshan's contemporary literature and literary activities as the research object.Besides,this part elaborates and defines some relevant problems.The main part of the thesis is divided into three chapters.The first chapter summarizes the development of Lianshan's literature since the foundation of the People's Republican of China.It includes three stages "literary enlightenment","literary development" and "new century literature".The stage of "literary enlightenment" describes that how the local authors of Lianshan have learned to write serves as an existence of a literary activity,and the literary activities and creative activities of the intellectuals in Lianshan who have collected local folk songs and made research in teaching are the beginning of Lianshan's literature.The stage of "literature development" mainly expounds the "rise" of the local authors in Lianshan and the literary activities in Lianshan of the authors from other places.It demonstrates that the growth of the local authors and those from other places is complementary to each other.The stage of "new century literature" elaborates that Lianshan's authors attempt to create literary works and new forms of reading.However,there are not many authors involved and the number of works is not enough.Based on the first chapter,the second chapter analyzes the influence of objective creation factors and the consciousness of creators.It points out that Lianshan's works possess the features of ages and nationality and that Lianshan's literature has both the universality of literature and the characteristics of ethnic minority literature.The third chapter,on the basis of ethnic cultural identity,expounds the writing of how Lianshan's literature affects the lifestyle of Lianshan's ethnic groups,pointing out that some of Lianshan's traditional culture is increasingly changing and that it is of great urgency to protect and inherit their traditional culture.The conclusion part of the thesis sorts out and summarizes the development of Lianshan's literature,and outlines the significance of the development of Lianshan's literature.
