Research On The Cultural Craze A Popular Buzzword Since Chinese Reform And Opening-up

As the globalization picks up speed,and cultural globalization gathers momentum,culture is becoming increasingly important in the cutthroat contest of comprehensive national strength.Excellent traditional Chinese culture represents a spiritual hallmark of our unique national character.The great essence of fine traditional Chinese culture has been exerting an influence on national cultural character and spiritual moral,and it will continue to do so.Since the introduction of reform and opening-up,traditional culture has experieced several experienced twists and turns before a wave of traditional culture rejuvenation came into being and gathered momentum.In this connection,we should reasoningly examine and reflect on its shortcomings,and explore its essences in line with the values of our new age.The preservation and transformation of these essences plays an important and realistic role in realizing the Chinese Dream,building China into a powerfulsocialist country with Chinese characteristics,realizing great national rejuvenation and better coping with globalization.The main body of this paper consists of six parts.The first part is Introduction.In the second part,this thesis initially interprets and discusses the theory of culture and Marxist cultural outlook.Besides,it also explores the integration between Marxist cultural outlook and our traditional culture according to our national reality,which means that,under the guidance of Marxist cultural outlook,state leaders have creatively adopted and promoted it in cultural construction.The third part is the part and parcel of this thesis,reviewing the development history of traditional cultural craze since the reform and opening up,which went through three stages: Reflection and criticism to traditional culture fueled by reflection on Confucianism in 1980 s,traditional culture craze centering around Confucianism in 1990 s,and the popularity of traditional culture in multi--forms and multi-spaces since the beginning of new century.In this part,reasons and performances of each stage are discussed.The fourth part provides a reflection and conclusion for above analysis.It draws a conclusion on the common issues exposed in traditional cultural inheritance and promotion since 1979,among which,simplification,vulgarization,commercialization and the lack of rational attitudes toward traditioanl culture.Based on existing issues,the fifth part puts forward corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to chart course for scientific development of traditional culture in a new era.It shows clearly that we should cash in on the new trend of Internet plus and go deep into contemporary values of finetraditional culture,as a way to improve cultural creativity,boost cultural confidence and realize cultural self-strengthening.This thesis ends with the Conclusion part,stressting that traditional culture craze should move in a rational and scientific direction.
