Chen Wangdao is a famous scholar,educationist,linguist and social activist in the modern history of China.As a Chinese educator,Chen Wangdao has been active in the field of Chinese for decades,and his thought have made great influence at that time.This thesis is based on the background,the analysis of Chen Wangdao's experience and practice.Finally,we know its theoretical and practical significance.The full text is made up of the introduction and the other four chapters.The introduction part mainly expounds the object of the research,summarizes the status of the research,collate the research methods,and explains the significance of the research.The second chapter,the forming background and core concept of Chen Wangdao's thought on Chinese teaching.The background of formation is mainly about the social and cultural background at home and abroad when his Chinese educational thoughts came into being,and his own learning and teaching experience had an impact on his thought on Chinese teaching.His thought on teaching mainly focus on the two core concepts——"modernization" and "scientification".The third chapter,the modernization pursuit of Chinese education,including the modernization of Chinese educational function he pursued,the emphasis of student subjectivity and his several outstanding practices in the exploration of modernization.After the New Culture Movement,the Chinese get rid of the feudal Confucian education,paid close attention to people's real feelings,to find the real person.Chen Wangdao believes that the curriculum function must follow the road of modernization,the content of the curriculum should keep close to real life,and the writing must be"true to the truth".In emphasizing the subjectivity of the students,the editing of the textbook,we must pay attention to the humanism,and the teaching method must focus on the students' subjectivity.He made outstanding achievement in the Stylistic form,type of writing and text type.In style,he advocated vernacular instead of classical Chinese and vernacular Chinese is not only the "authentic literature",but also the main tool to express thoughts and feelings;in the classification of stylistic,he advocated to classify a variety of practical style;in the text types,he advocated the introduction of modern foreign texts and excellent works.The fourth chapter,the scientification of disciplinary knowledge and knowledge-teaching.It mainly constructs logical and systematic knowledge of Chinese grammar,rhetoric and writing course.It designs controllable and programmed Chinese paradigm education,and advocates the scientification and rationalization of knowledge-teaching and learning.The fifth chapter,the theoretical value and practical significance of the modernization of Chen Wangdao's thought on Chinese teaching.We think that his thought on Chinese teaching has promoted people's scientific understanding of the function of Chinese language curriculum,and advocated not only the new relationship between teachers and students but also the mode of classroom organization.His methods of choosing text and arranging the text book still have an important reference value.Nowadays,his system of rhetoric which is based on teaching is still used.
