The Relationship Of Parental Rearing Patterns,Personality And Self-Handicapping On College Students

In recent years,college students' mental health has been widespread attention by society,among them,the self-handicapping has become the main factors of college students'psychological problems,the various psychological barriers and behavioral problems arising from self-handicaps will have a serious impact on the future self-growth and development of college students.This study is based on existing research at home and abroad,comprehensively analyzes and compares the influencing factors of self-handicaps.Finally,the parental rearing patterns of college students are selected as external influencing factor,and the personality of college students as an internal influencing factor to discuss the relationship between parental rearing pattern,personality and self-handicapping.In this study,the questionnaire was prepared from three scales(S-EMBU),(CBF-PI-B)and(SHS),and the sampling method of convenience sampling was used to investigate 510 college students in four universities in Harbin,heilongjiang province respectively,through it data were collected and SPSS 19.0 was used to process and analyze the collected data.The results prove that:(1)The demographic variables of college students have partial significant differences in parental rearing patterns,personality and self-handicapping.(2)There is a significant correlation between parental rearing patterns,personality and self-handicapping.(3)The parental rearing patterns and personality of college students have a significant predictive effect on self-handicapping.(4)The personality of college students has some mediating effect on the influence of parental rearing pattern on self-handicapping.
