In the current society, online social platforms(such as micro-blog)acts an important role in human life.Especially, bullying phenomenon is becoming more and more intense on internet. We conducted current study, based on the Hubris Hypothesis,as well as the types and characteristics of the cyberbullying,to explore the influence of self-superiority claims from micro-bloggers(claimers)on cyberbullying from observers. The study aims:(1)to explore the influence of the types(implicit and explicit)and domains(warmth and competence)of self-superiority claims on cyberbullying in the micro-blog;(2)to verify the applicability of the Hubris Hypothesis in the micro-blog.The current study enrolled 365 university students and execute a 2(claim type:implicit, explicit)x 2(claim domain:warmth,competence)between-subject experimental design,to explore the cyberbullying degree in the micro-blog,judging by hypothetical verbal aggression level, and took claimer view of others, claimer view of observer and claimer liking as serial multiple mediators. The conclusions showed that:Observers conducted greater verbal cyberbullying toward the explicit(vs.the implicit)claimers. The reason of the above conclusions was because observers attributed a more negative view of others and themselves(observers)to an explicit than to an implicit claim,or to a competence than to a warmth claim. Therefore, the observers were inclined to dislike these claimers who delivered explicit or competence Self-Superiority Claims and to write down the aggressive comments, leading to the verbal cyberbullying in the micro-blog.The current study verified the applicability of Hubris Hypothesis in the micro-blog,and confirmed the influence of the types and domains of Self-Superiority Claims on observers' cognition, emotion and action, which meant the explicit claims and the competence claims would cause cyberbullying in the micro-blog more probably.
